Gatorade Thirst Meter - NBA Live

Thanks to internet and the new technology, we are facing different kind of advertising mediums besides classical ones like TV, radio and newspaper. In-game advertising is one of the new advertising mediums. We often see common types of in-game advertising as jersey and billboard advertisements in sports games like FIFA, NBA Live and NASCAR.

Although in-game advertising is not a new concept, the rise of the platform occurred in last years. In new games there are very attractive and successful applications of in-game advertising. The first example of the in-game advertising has seen in 1978 in “Advertureland”. The ad in the game wasn’t a brand advertisement but it was a advertisement for the next game of the creator Scott Adams. Scott Adams made a breakthrough by placing an ad in his game. The first brand which advertised to a video game is the lollipop brand Chupa Chups which advertised to the game called Zool. The first examples of in-game advertising in sports games are Adidas and Panasonic ads in 94’s FIFA International. These all are the examples of static in game advertising which refer static and fixed display banner ad that shown in some scenes of the game. For example in FIFA International, the Adidas ad has been added to the game displayed in billboards in the sides of the field and the Panasonic ad can be seen in the scoreboard.

Kategori: Football,GeneralCeyla Kütükoğlu @ 2:30 am

handeggBarrack Obama, The President of United States, has announced that USA will be bidding for 2018 or 2022 World Cup. So here is the biggest question. Why? Even though we think that soccer is an activity which affected the whole world and almost become a religion, it is obvious that in the USA where sport is lived 24 for seven, soccer is doomed. Despite all efforts, marketing activities, success stories, soccer is still an unpleasant event for Americans. Even World Cup 1994, American Women’s Championship in 1999 World Cup (which they hosted), Mia Hamm and David Beckham – the latter was the final effort- couldn’t change the fact. For Americans what we called football is called soccer which I think it’s derived from the word sucker.

So why Americans don’t like the beloved sport considered the joy of life by their antecedents Europeans and the reason of existence by their neighbors South Americans? Here are the reasons.

Kategori: NBACeyla Kütükoğlu @ 10:15 am

celtics-bullsSaturday Night (Sunday morning) the latest match of the Boston Celtics- Chicago Bulls playoff first round series will be played. In the most exiting and competitive series of the playoffs, 3 times in six matches the match went to extra time and all matches ended with max three point difference. Chicago won the last match by 128-127 with a superb block by Derrick Rose. The match was the most exciting one in series and went to extra time for 3 times with the last second scores. Ray Allen scored highest playoff points of his career with 51 points. The silenced performance of Paul Pierce cost Celtics to close the series.

The match will broadcast live in NTV Spor. I would recommend to all NBA fans to watch this match.
